Spotlight: Jeff and Mary Allee
What’s something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know?
Jeff: Not many people know I used to be the sports editor on my College Newspaper staff.
Mary: I grew up in a town 20 miles from Mesa Verde Natl Park.
What is your favorite hobby?
Jeff: My favorite hobby is driving and showing my classic car.
Mary: Sightseeing
What would it be if you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life?
Jeff: My favorite meal is spaghetti and raviolis.
Mary: Chicken soft tacos
What’s one item you can’t live without?
Jeff: I can't live without coffee.
Mary: Coffee
Which car that you have owned has been dearest to your heart?
Jeff: The car most dear to my heart is a 1969 Carousel red Pontiac GTO Judge.
Mary: 1988 Mazda 626 sedan
When did you join the car club, and why?
Jeff: We joined the Sedona car club in January of 2026 because, after attending a few meetings, we felt like we were a good fit with the club.
Mary: Jan 2026; needed a car community to engage with since that's what we did in Northern CA for 30 years, and this was the closest to where we live in Clarkdale.
What car are you most fond of and why?
Jeff: I am most fond of a 1969 Royal Bobcat GTO because of its looks, rarity, and history
Mary: My husband's 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge; it is very unique and keeps my husband busy.
What do you like most about the car club? What do you like the least?
Jeff: We like the people and the many events the club does, other than just going to car shows. I least like the idea of Saturday events mostly because they conflict with other obligations.
Mary: Like all the events that are planned, especially since we are new to the area, I wish that events weren't planned on Saturdays, as we can't attend that day of the week.
What is your most memorable road trip or vacation from your childhood?
Jeff: Road trips to visit extended family in Missouri were a fun childhood memory.
Mary: Attended a cousin's wedding in FL, driving from CO, in June when I was 9, and took a cruise to the Bahamas for 2 days.
What do you do for fun?
Jeff: We enjoy going on road trips for fun, such as Route 66
Mary: Sightseeing via road trips
If you had an unlimited budget, what would be your dream car?
Jeff: I would like to own a 1969 Royal Bobcat GTO with a Ram Air 5 engine.
